On July 11, the Niagara County SPCA held its first Hounds & Heroes celebration at the shelter grounds, 2100 Lockport Road. Participants took part in many activities, including a parade, demonstrations, a pie contest and more.

The 2015 Thunder of Niagara Airshow will feature The United States Army "Golden Knights" Parachute Team. This elite team will be performing in front of an anticipated record-breaking crowd. As part of the performance, Rex Ryan, the head coach of the Buffalo Bills, will participate in a tandem jump with the team at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station Friday, July 17.

The 2015 graduates of the Niagara County Community College physical therapy assistant program earned a 100 percent pass rate on the national physical therapy assistant examination. NCCC is the only college in New York with 100 percent pass rate on the national exam.
