Niagara County Republicans endorsed the full slates of the county's 12 town and three city committees Wednesday night. At the same time, they unanimously elected Scott Kiedrowski, who has served as interim chairman for the past month, as chairman in his own right.

On March 23, seven young adults from the Tuscarora Nation started on a 1,200-mile journey, tracing their ancestor's footsteps from 300 years ago. Starting at Snow Hill, N.C., after a monument dedication to the Tuscarora People, they began canoeing, hiking, biking and running their way home to the Tuscarora Nation in New York.

The Niagara-Wheatfield community was rocked this week by the news that three high school students were involved in a car crash early Sunday morning, resulting in the death of one student. A second student remained in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center.

The Town of Niagara Town Board got verbally spanked by one of its senior citizens at its Tuesday meeting. During the public speaking portion of the meeting, the Pretoria Street resident said, "When is this fighting going to stop. It's so petty. It's time to grow up and work together."
