Some capital improvement projects are underway at the Niagara County Golf Course, but the course is still open to golfers as long as weather permits, according to Niagara County Legislator Rick Abbott. The county course is located on Davison Road in Lockport.

Niagara County Social Services Commissioner Meghan Lutz today announced the 2024-25 Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) application window will open on Friday, Nov. 1, with a streamlined application process. Applications have already been sent to qualified individuals that received HEAP last year and meet the early outreach criteria.

Niagara County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski said his office has been made aware of a scam targeting E-ZPass users with fake text messages. Jastrzemski said this scam has been going after customers of tolling agencies across the country that persuades them to enter personal and/or financial information on a phony website - and it appears E-ZPass customers are now the latest targets.
