For the first time ever, Niagara University Theatre's repertory troupe, N.U.R.T., will present free children's theater productions on campus every Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. from July 21 through Aug. 18. The production will be presented in the William P. and Marie Leary Theatre within the Elizabeth Ann Clune Center for Theatre in Clet Hall.

The Circle of Hope program of Niagara Hospice will hold its 10th Camp Hope for grieving children Aug. 27-29 at the YMCA's Camp Kenan in Barker. Offered to children throughout Western New York who have lost a loved one through death - regardless of hospice care - the camp is free for children ages 7 to 13.

The "Empowering Volunteers" Conference is designed to provide training opportunities and workshops detailing "best practices" in citizen and community preparedness initiatives. The Niagara University College of Education's Institute of Applied Learning will be holding two youth camps this summer for students interested in having fun while exploring science, technology, engineering, and math, or STEM. The camps will be held on the Niagara University campus, and will run from Aug. 2-5 and 16-19.
