Christmas Walk fills Center Street with merriment

Lewiston's Christmas Walk weekend kicked off Saturday in the village. The annual event included breakfast with Santa, Santa parading down Center Street in a holiday float, characters from Disney's "Frozen," a holiday market, a petting zoo, gingerbread house workshops, karaoke and the annual tour of homes.

Following an executive session Monday, the Village of Lewiston Board of Trustees appointed a new zoning officer. Town of Lewiston resident Edward DeVantier was selected to replace Harry Wright, who was not reappointed this summer.
