Wednesday evening, the Town of Porter Republican Committee held its annual fundraiser reception where the group honored one of its own as Republican of the Year. In his naming of Lee "Moo Cow" McCollum, Porter GOP Committee Chair Duffy Johnston spoke of the resident's involvement in the community.

Niagara County Community College President James P. Klyczek and SUNY Empire State College President Merodie A. Hancock announced Wednesday the two schools are partnering to offer students at NCCC's Niagara Falls Culinary Institute a pathway to earn a Bachelor of Science in business, management and economics, with a concentration in culinary management, from Empire State College beginning this fall.
