Gunman pleads guilty for killing 1, injuring 2 in shooting inside downtown nightclub

Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced 21-year-old Sharief McBroom of Buffalo pleaded guilty this afternoon before State Supreme Court Justice Debra Givens to one count of murder in the second degree (class "A-I" felony), two counts of attempted murder in the second degree (class "B" violent felonies) and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (class "C" violent felony).

Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced 46-year-old Otis L. Johnson Jr. of Buffalo was sentenced this morning before Erie County Court Judge Suzanne Maxwell Barnes to the maximum sentence of 25 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision. He was sentenced today as a second felony offender.
