Niagara County Legislator Shawn Foti reminds residents that the county has begun accepting reservations for picnic shelters in county parks for this summer. The county operates five parks: Krull, Oppenheim, Royalton Ravine, West Canal Marina and Burmaster at Bond Lake. Boaters can also reserve boat slips at West Canal Marina.

“The Parks Department is hard at work getting our parks ready for the coming season, and we look forward to residents taking full advantage of the many activities available in our system, from playgrounds and splash pads to hiking trails and disc golf,” said Foti, who chairs the infrastructure committee that oversees the parks. “Our parks continue to grow in popularity, so if you are thinking of utilizing a shelter for a birthday party, family reunion or graduation party this summer, I encourage you to make your reservation now.”

Reservations can be made at www.niagaracounty.gov/parks. There are also shelter maps available and a list of parks rules and policies.
