Destination Niagara USA Press Release
Destination Niagara USA is proud to announce that Niagara Falls USA will host the International Inbound Travel Association 2026 Summit from Feb. 8-11.
The annual IITA Summit brings together nearly 200 travel industry leaders, including international inbound receptive tour operators, destination marketing organizations, and travel industry suppliers. Additionally, representatives from tourism partners at Brand USA, the American Indian Tourism Association, Travel Unity and the International Gay & Lesbian Tourism Association (IGLTA) will be in attendance.
“We are thrilled to bring our group to Niagara Falls in 2026 for our members – the leading U.S. inbound tour operators – to experience the area from the majesty of the Falls to the area’s rich history and heritage,” said Lisa Simon, CEO/executive director, IITA. “Add in the myriad outdoor adventure options, Niagara Falls USA is a major attraction for international visitors and these travel producers will get to experience it first-hand.”
In addition to hosting IITA’s programming, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will serve as the primary hotel and event venue for attendees. While many of the summit’s activities will take place in the City of Niagara Falls, attendees will also have the opportunity to explore points of interest throughout Niagara County through themed sightseeing tours curated by Destination Niagara USA. These experiences will highlight the region’s diverse attractions, culinary scene and cultural offerings beyond the falls.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome IITA and its members to Niagara Falls USA,” said John Percy, president and CEO of Destination Niagara USA. “Winter is a magical time here – when the falls transform into a breathtaking landscape of snow and ice, and the surrounding communities offer warm hospitality, unique attractions, and authentic local flavors. Our team is working closely with partners across Niagara County to ensure attendees experience the best our destination has to offer.”
Tina Mt. Pleasant, director of travel trade sales for Destination USA, has been coordinating efforts within Niagara Falls USA for this event for the past year.
“Hosting the IITA Summit in Niagara Falls USA is an incredible opportunity to welcome more than 40 international inbound receptive tour operators to our destination. We’re excited to showcase Niagara County through evening events, themed sightseeing tours, and a dine-around highlighting our vibrant food scene – all during the winter season. We hope to inspire new perspectives on everything there is to see and do here year-round.”
With nearly 200 travel professionals expected to attend, the IITA Summit will generate a significant economic impact for Niagara Falls USA during a season that is traditionally quieter for tourism.
The mission of Destination Niagara USA is to expand the economic prosperity of the Niagara Falls USA communities by generating individual and group visitation. For more information, visit www.niagarafallsusa.com.
