The Niagara Post Theater continues its inaugural summer series in June with “Shakespeare in the Park” on June 6-7, and “Songs of Cinema” featuring the Vocal Dynamites on June 14. Both events will be on the outdoor stage at the Post Theater, located at 6 Porter Ave., within Fort Niagara State Park. All events are free and open to the public. Donations in support of the Niagara Post Theater are encouraged.

“Shakespeare in the Park” is an innovative event organized by Grace Pasquantino, where young local talent will come together to perform “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” along with cabaret-style performances of various monologues and scenes. This is a great opportunity to support budding talent from within Niagara County, explore the renovations at the theater, and enjoy some sunshine.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

The Vocal Dynamites of Teal’s Niagara Theatre invite the community to an evening of music and cinematic magic at the “Songs of the Cinema” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 14. This special outdoor concert will feature music from some of the most beloved and iconic films of all time, performed by talented young singers of the Vocal Dynamites – an auditioned group of singers ages 12-18 from across Western New York.

Under the direction of Amy Teal and Madalyn Zutell, the ensemble rehearses weekly and has been featured at numerous festivals and events throughout the region, including with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra “Spotlight Performances Series.”
