The first "Return the Love" clothing drive is happening from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Buffalo RiverWorks, to benefit Response to Love Center. The event is in partnership between Sweet Buffalo, Totally Buffalo, Alexis Jones, SnapBack Returns and Estelle Esthetics, four woman-owned businesses that wanted to make a difference in their communities and bring new warm clothes to those in need this winter.

On Oct. 27, at approximately 9:48 p.m., Niagara Falls police responded to investigate a crash spanning from the 5300 block to the 5600 block of Buffalo Avenue. The crash involved a 2012 Yamaha Sports Bike and an electric bicycle.

They were there to warn thousands of county residents who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) and Home Energy Assistance (HEAP) programs to prepare to seek alternative food and energy assistance if the ongoing federal shutdown continues into November.
