WNY Food 4 Paws, a nonprofit addressing pet food insecurity in Western New York, is honored to announce it has received a $10,000 grant from Bailey and Friends, a trust component of the B. Thomas Golisano Foundation. The grant will be used to purchase dry cat food for distribution through 33 food and pet pantry partners across the region, helping vulnerable families keep their pets healthy, fed, and at home.

Gov. Kathy Hochul today directed that flags on all state government buildings be flown at half-staff in honor of Department of Transportation Highway Maintenance Supervisor Robert Bornt, who passed away after suffering catastrophic injuries related to a work zone intrusion in Pittstown last week. Flags will be at half-staff Friday and Saturday, June 6-7.

The Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America announced it raised over $1.4 million after completing its 29th anniversary ride, which took place May 3-9. Funds raised directly benefit Victory Junction - a camp in Randleman, North Carolina, servicing children with chronic medical illnesses. The ride's donation supports summer camperships, building projects and maintenance programs.
