New cookies, developed with BARK and Partake, will be available exclusively online for shipping only during the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie season, expanding how people & pets can take part in fun of Girl Scout Cookie Program

On Tuesday, Girl Scouts of Western New York unveiled two first-of-their-kind additions to the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie lineup. Patch Pals, developed with BARK, and Girl Scout Sparkables, developed with Partake, will debut together as the first cookie created just for dogs and the first allergy-friendly cookie. The online exclusive offerings will join beloved classics Thin Mints, Caramel deLites and Peanut Butter Patties.
Inspired by Girl Scouts around the country who have advocated for expanding the cookie lineup to meet the needs of their communities, Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables offer new ways for more youth, families and beloved pets to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program – while staying true to what makes the tradition special.
“The 2027 Girl Scout Cookie Program is just a bit sweeter with the addition of two new cookies – Girl Scouts Sparkables, an allergen-free cookie by Partake; and Patch Pals, a cookie designed for your favorite four-legged friend by BARK. Western New York Girl Scouts can’t wait to hone their entrepreneurial skills with these new exclusive additions to the beloved Girl Scout Cookie lineup,” said Cara Biddlecom, CEO for Girl Scouts of Western New York.
Girl Scout Sparkables bring a new level of inclusivity to the Girl Scout Cookie portfolio as its first-ever cookie developed for families navigating certain food allergies. Developed with Partake in a facility designed to avoid the top nine major food allergens, the crunchy oatmeal cookie features chocolate chips and is dotted with colorful sprinkles, giving families navigating the most common food allergies a way to enjoy the Girl Scout Cookie season.

For four-legged family members, Patch Pals offer a playful new way to take part in the fun. Developed with BARK, the dog-obsessed company on a mission to make all dogs happy, and inspired by Girl Scouts’ deep love for their pets, the soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavored dog cookies celebrate the bond between people and their pups.
Each year, Girl Scouts unlock wonderful adventures through the Girl Scout Cookie Program. Along the way, they develop skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. Every cookie box purchase helps fuel life-changing experiences for Girl Scouts throughout the year, from outdoor adventures and travel opportunities to community service projects, STEM exploration and leadership development. All proceeds stay local to support Girl Scout councils and troops.
As Girl Scouts of Western New York prepares to bring Patch Pals to life, the council is inviting animal shelters and rescue organizations across Western New York to become community partners. Interested organizations can contact customercare@gswny.org to learn more.
Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables will be available exclusively online for direct shipping across Western New York beginning Jan. 12, 2027, with the national launch of the 2027 cookie season. Visit girlscouts.org/cookienews to sign up for notifications when cookie season begins nationally.
