Ladders to the Outdoors and New York State Parks will host community craft and field days at DeVeaux Woods State Park.

Activities are free and include field games such as cornhole, ladder toss, soccer and kickball games, jump ropes, hula hoops, and more! There will also be nature-based crafts that participants can make and take home.

The event will take place by the playground from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; and Aug. 13 and 20.

Find Ladders to the Outdoors on Facebook, where they will post any cancellations or updates. You can also contact them at niagara.ladders@parks.ny.gov or call them at 716-638-7115.

Ladders to the Outdoors (LTO) is a program of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, with the mission to strengthen community outreach to youth, and expand inclusive and equitable access to the outdoors, including recreational spaces, equipment and skills development, through planning and providing free programs and activities in New York state park facilities such as swimming, hiking, biking, boating, camping, sports, and environmental education.

LTO works closely with schools, youth organizations and community-based nonprofits in underserved areas to connect kids with state parks, encourage fun and active outdoor recreation, and foster a lifelong love of the outdoors.
