Press Release

Eight Days of Hope (EDOH) – Buffalo wrapped up its sixth annual summer outreach in the City of Buffalo on Saturday, July 26, providing free home repairs, landscaping, and more to 340 homes in the Niagara District. This eight-day event brought together a record number of volunteers in Buffalo, as 1,811 people gathered from WNY and across the U.S. to love and serve those in need.

“Buffalo, we are constantly humbled by the way this city comes together each year to show what it truly means to love your neighbor,” said Stephen Tybor III, EDOH president and CEO. “There is something so special about how individuals, churches, businesses, and government organizations unite to lend a helping hand, and as a result, make Buffalo even more beautiful and more welcoming.”

Since EDOH – Buffalo launched in 2019, it has served in six different districts, helping 1,940 families with home repairs, such as roofing, porch replacement, landscaping and lead paint removal.

Except for a small staff, Eight Days of Hope is an all-volunteer organization. Visit www.eightdaysofhope.com for more information, to provide financial support, or to volunteer.
