Judith A. Hannah, 86, of Youngstown, passed away peacefully at Buffalo General Hospital, with her devoted family by her side, on Aug. 28, 2025.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, on April 24, 1939, she was the cherished daughter of the late Harold and Julie (Deskovitz) Moulton. Judy’s life was marked by a deep love of learning, nature, and family. A proud graduate of Mercy High School and Mercy College in Dearborn, Michigan, she went on to earn her master’s degree in education from SUNY Buffalo.

On Oct. 3, 1962, she married the love of her life, Arthur J. Hannah, in Niagara Falls, New York, beginning a partnership filled with adventure, dedication and warmth.

Her professional journey reflected her curiosity and compassion. Judy served as a medical technologist at Roswell Park, shared her passion for science as a biology instructor at Morris Brown University in Atlanta, and later embraced roles that connected her to nature and education, including as a receptionist at Spring Valley Nature Center in Schaumburg, Illinois, and a student educator at the Field Museum in Chicago.

In her later years, Judy found joy in working at Fort Niagara, where she cultivated gardens and served as lead cook for special events, blending her love of history, hospitality and community. She was an avid camper, a gifted baker, and a nurturing cook, but above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends, which always brought her the greatest joy.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 63 years, Arthur; her loving children, Mary Heather (James) West and A.J. Hannah; and her dear siblings, Sheila (Ron) Bycraft and Harold "Butch" Moulton.

Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she created.

Services are entrusted to Hardison Funeral Homes, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville. A celebration of Judy’s life will be announced at a later date. Condolences may be shared at www.hardisonfuneralhomes.com.
