Michael Sarver offers bold new anthem 'Warrior'

Singer/songwriter and “American Idol” top 10 finalist Michael Sarver opens a welcome new chapter in partnership with WieRok Entertainment Group, making his Christian music homecoming with “Warrior,” available today. Written by Sarver, Matthew Humphrey and Tyler Logan, and co-produced by Sarver, the electrifying rock anthem is an undeniable declaration of identity forged through struggle and refined by faith.

"Warrior" marks a full-circle moment for the Texas-based worship leader and recording artist. After releasing a string of country singles in the wake of his 2009 “American Idol” run, Sarver was unable to shake an innate beckoning to write and record music with a greater purpose. Leaving the country spotlight, he spent several years as a church worship leader before fully embracing the call to Christian music.

“I used to chase dreams in country music, but deep down, I knew God was calling me elsewhere,” Sarver admitted. “ ‘Warrior’ isn’t just a song; it’s my testimony, born from the battles of fear, doubt and spiritual warfare I’ve fought. God made me a warrior, and I’m finally stepping into that truth. If you’ve ever felt under attack or worn down, this song is for you. You’re not alone, and you were built for battle, too.”

The "Warrior" official lyric video is now premiering exclusively on GodTube Music, and the single's theatrical music video – produced and directed by Carlos Ubiñas of CU Creative – is slated to debut next month.

More about Michael Sarver: A lauded singer/songwriter and worship leader whose story is rooted in faith, resilience and real-life grit, Sarver was catapulted from the oil fields of rural Texas into the national spotlight as a finalist on season 8 of “American Idol.” Turning heads with his powerhouse voice and commanding stage presence, Sarver released multiple country singles and performed across the nation in the years following his “Idol” appearance. He most recently served as a worship leader at a large church in Texas, where he and his family reside.

A native of Sulphur, Louisiana, Sarver discovered a love for songwriting at the age of 14 – a passion that has helped fuel every facet of his musical journey since.
