Tops Friendly Markets Press Release
Tops Friendly Markets announced its annual campaign in support of the United Way of Erie and Niagara counties has raised over $66,549. The campaign, which ran from Aug. 24 through Sept. 6, took place at all participating Tops locations.
Shoppers contributed by donating $1 at checkout or by rounding up their change at any Tops register. These donations directly support area United Ways including those in Erie, Niagara, Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Orleans, Genesee and Wyoming counties. Donations help fund critical programs and initiatives that serve thousands of community members.
The United Way’s mission is to create long-lasting, positive change. Its “Living United” message emphasizes the power of collaboration in building stronger, healthier communities.
“Thanks to the incredible generosity of our associates and customers, we’re proud to have exceeded our United Way campaign goals,” said Darren Robbins, United Way board member and VP finance/treasurer for Tops. “Your dedication and support have made a meaningful impact, helping to create a stronger, healthier community for all.”
Tops has been a proud supporter of the United Way since 2013, contributing more than $57,800 in 2024 alone. Beyond customer contributions, Tops also encourages its associates to give generously to the campaign each year, further amplifying the effort’s impact.
