YMCA Press Release

YMCA Buffalo Niagara announce it is opening registration for its 2026 summer day camps. Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, Y members can register. Registration opens to the public at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19.

For new members, the Y is waiving its $75 join fee on Monday.

Demand for YMCA summer day camps is extremely high and they typically sell-out well in advance. This year, the YMCA expects to welcome thousands of Western New York children to any of its 11 summer camp locations. There are three outdoor adventure camps (Camp Tahigwa, Camp Eggert and Camp Kenan Day Camp), along with eight traditional camps at various locations throughout Western New York.

YMCA camps offer traditional camp experiences, like arts and crafts, along with more specialized activities like STEM and sports. At camp, participants discover new talents, new interests, and make new friends. Parents have trusted YMCA camps for generations because summer camp fosters leadership, self-confidence, and deepens respect for the environments and communities we live in.
