New partnership enhancement makes online grocery shopping more accessible and convenient for SNAP customers
Tops Friendly Markets press release
Tops has announced customers can now use SNAP/EBT benefits to purchase groceries for delivery through DoorDash, expanding access to fresh, nutritious, and affordable food across the communities they serve.
This new capability allows SNAP customers to shop a wide selection of eligible grocery items from Tops Markets directly through the DoorDash platform, bringing added convenience to families who rely on food assistance programs. Customers can browse items, build their cart, and securely pay with their EBT card at checkout for qualifying purchases.
“At Tops, we’re committed to taking care of our neighbors and strengthening the communities we serve,” said Ron Ferri, president of Tops Markets. “By expanding access to online grocery delivery for SNAP customers, we’re helping ensure more families can put fresh, healthy food on the table with greater ease and dignity.”
Through this expanded offering customers can:
•Shop a range of SNAP-eligible grocery items, including fresh produce, dairy, meat, pantry staples and more;
•Enjoy the convenience of on-demand delivery; and
•Use their EBT card seamlessly at checkout for eligible purchases.
Non-eligible items, taxes, fees and tips can be paid using an alternate payment method within the DoorDash app.
This initiative is part of Tops’ broader commitment to increasing food access and advancing its omnichannel strategy – integrating in-store, online and delivery experiences, to better serve customers in a rapidly evolving retail landscape.
Consumers can visit the DoorDash app or website to learn more and begin shopping.
