Sent on behalf of the Niagara Falls Police Department
On Aug. 14, at approximately 11:45 p.m., the Niagara Falls Police Department was dispatched to a shots fired incident located in the area of 19th Street and Walnut Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a male laying in the street with other male parties surrounding him. All males, including the injured male, were uncooperative with police identifying what happened or who the victim was. It was later determined the victim was a 33-year-old male from Niagara Falls, who had been struck by a vehicle while several vehicles were driving erratically leaving the shots fired call. He was treated and in stable condition.
A short time later, police dispatch was contacted by Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center emergency room and advised that a 21-year-old male had arrived with a gunshot wound to his right leg. The male is in stable condition.
