Running Sept. 27 to Oct. 3, ‘My Tops Days’ celebration features TOPS BRAND savings, tailgating, and renewed 5-year partnership with Buffalo Sabres
Tops Friendly Markets press release
Tops Friendly Markets is once again celebrating everything that makes Tops a hometown grocer during its annual “My Tops Days,” Sept. 27 through Oct. 3, with a week dedicated to delivering the variety, quality and value customers deserve while celebrating the people, partnerships and hometown traditions that make Western New York special.
Created in 2023 by Tops President Ron Ferri to showcase the growth and value of the company’s own-brand portfolio, “My Tops Days” puts the spotlight on the value Tops delivers every day. With nearly 8,700 TOPS BRAND products throughout the store, customers have more ways to save on everything from pantry staples and fresh foods to household essentials and game-day favorites – all without sacrificing quality.
“At Tops, delivering value to our customers isn’t something we celebrate just one week a year – it’s a commitment we make every day,” Ferri said. “ ‘My Tops Days’ gives us an opportunity to shine an even brighter spotlight on the variety, quality and value our TOPS BRAND products provide while also celebrating what it means to be a hometown grocer. It’s a label we’re proud to stand behind and a promise we’re proud to make to our customers.”
Savings from kickoff to puck drop
With football season in full swing and hockey season getting underway, “My Tops Days” is also the perfect time to stock up for gameday. Whether customers are filling the tailgate cooler, putting together a spread for friends or getting dinner into the slow cooker so they don’t miss a minute of the action, Tops has them covered from kickoff to puck drop.
Among the featured “My Tops Days” values are:
TOPS premium ice cream or sherbet – $2.88 with “Super Coupon”
TOPS gallon apple cider – $5.99
TOPS extra-large, cooked or colossal raw shrimp – buy one, get one free

For an easy family meal, shoppers can also take advantage of the TOPS boneless chuck roast meal deal. With the purchase of the featured boneless chuck roast, customers receive TOPS Russet Potatoes, 5 lbs.; NY Bold yellow onions, 2 lbs.; peeled baby-cut carrots, 1 lb.; and select Swanson canned broth or Campbell’s cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup free – everything needed for a hearty, slow-cooker meal that can cook while fans enjoy the action.
Customers can also earn three-times GasPoints with a $35 minimum purchase and coupon, adding even more value to the week.
Celebrating hometown pride
Being a hometown grocer also means celebrating the teams and traditions that bring the community together. This year, Tops has even more reason to celebrate as it has renewed its partnership with the Buffalo Sabres for five more years, continuing as the “Exclusive Grocer of the Buffalo Sabres.”
The extended partnership builds on Tops’ longstanding relationship with the team and its fans, including player meet-and-greets, fan events and special experiences that bring the excitement of Sabres hockey beyond the arena and into the community. These immersive free fan experiences will continue to be important part of the 2026-27 Tops collaboration with the Buffalo Sabres.
“Our partnership with the Buffalo Sabres represents so much of what being a hometown grocer means to us,” Ferri said. “For another five years, we’ll have the opportunity to stand alongside the Sabres and their fans, celebrate the team we all love, and create memorable experiences that bring our community together. We couldn’t be more excited to continue as the ‘Exclusive Grocer of the Buffalo Sabres.’ ”
Hometown style meets gameday grub
That hometown pride also extends to Tops’ renewed collaboration with local designer Abigail Lee, whose Buffalo-inspired designs return this season through the Tops Tailgate Club.
The expanded collaboration includes Tops Tailgate Club apparel as well as Lee’s Buffalo Royalty print featured on select TOPS BRAND game-day foods and housewares, giving fans new ways to bring a little Buffalo style to everything from what they wear to what they serve.
The partnership builds on Tops’ collaboration with Lee launched last year, when her Buffalo football-inspired fashions were introduced in Tops stores throughout the greater Buffalo and Rochester regions. Bringing her Buffalo Royalty design to TOPS BRAND products this year further connects a local entrepreneur with Tops’ own-brand portfolio, and the game-day traditions customers love.
