Thank you to Town of Lewiston

Deputy Village of Lewiston Mayor Tina Coppins shared the following at Monday’s work session:

The Village of Lewiston would like to sincerely thank Supervisor Broderick and the Town Board for its continued support and partnership, particularly for using funding from the town’s H98 energy fund to pay the village’s electrical bills.

The energy fund, which is associated with the town’s 6.5-megawatt, NYPA-related energy benefits, provides the town with an important resource for capital improvements and energy-related projects. By using these funds to assist with the village’s electrical costs, the town has helped free up funds already included in the village’s current budget. This allows the village to put those available funds toward important improvements at the Red Brick Municipal Building, including needed window repairs, adding air conditioning to the gym, and other necessary electrical upgrades and improvements to the facility.

Also, I would like to thank Supervisor Broderick for using the H98 energy fund to make energy improvements to the Upward Niagara Chamber building.

We greatly appreciate the town’s willingness to work with the village and invest in improvements that benefit our community. This is a great example of the town and village working together to make the most of available resources and improve our municipal facilities for residents and visitors.

Thank you to the Town of Lewiston for your continued partnership and support of the Village of Lewiston.

Tina Coppins
