Though no tables were broken, the Aurora Theatre could've doubled for the NFL's Highmark Stadium last Thursday. Inside the historic film room and popcorn shop, it took less than 10 seconds for cheers to erupt as Bar-Bill, Bills Mafia, chicken wings and football were projected on the large screen. Immediately, patrons fell in love in "Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story."

Gov. Kathy Hochul today urged caution ahead of forecasted lake-effect snow set to impact portions of Western New York. Winter weather advisories have been issued for Sunday night into Monday morning, with 3 to 6 inches of snow forecasted for Chautauqua County and 3 to 5 inches possible in Niagara and Orleans counties - and localized higher amounts possible.

With two weeks to go before Opening Day, Buffalo Waterfront released the full winter schedule for the Ice at Canalside, presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. This year will feature fun celebrations and programming with weekly "Festive Fridays" and "Special Event Saturdays." Favorites such as the ice bumper cars, curling, ice bikes and the ice train all return for the season, as the largest rink in New York opens for its 12th year.

Sean Ryan, Democratic nominee for mayor of Buffalo, declared victory Tuesday night, following a landslide election in which he earned nearly 72% of the vote, winning the three-way race by a decisive 49-point margin. It marks the largest victory in a contested Buffalo mayoral election since 1993.

Town of Lewiston Supervisor Steve Broderick appears to have won another term in office, as he leads challenger Ed Lilly by a margin of 1,844 votes (53.02%) to 1,612 (46.35), according to the Niagara County Board of Elections' unofficial results.
