Niagara Falls High School Class of 1964 is having an 80th birthday party and reunion! It will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at the LaSalle Yacht Club on Buffalo Avenue with dinner, mingling and music. On Friday, there will be a tour of the old NFHS building on Portage Road and Pine Avenue from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Quinn Miller started collecting cans and bottles when he was 9 years old. As a Niagara County Tribune-Sentinel carrier, he would ask clients every week to leave cans and bottles outside of their homes for him to collect. It took him a year to gather the funds to donate his first check to Care-n-Share, a River Region nonprofit organization supported by Inter-Community Services
