The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Buffalo District, completed a remedial investigation (RI) report and proposed plan (PP) for Niagara Falls Storage Site (NFSS) vicinity property H prime (VP-H'). A public comment period for the proposed plan will take place from Sept. 15 to Nov. 13, 2025. A public meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the Town of Lewiston Senior Center at 4361 Lower River Road. A court reporter will be present to record public testimony.

Niagara Falls Mayor Robert Restaino announced S&P Global raised Niagara Falls' bond rating from BBB+ to A. The global ratings agency also reported the city's financial outlook is "positive." An A bond rating signifies the bond issuer has a strong capacity to meet its financial obligations.
