The Niagara-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Upward Niagara Chamber of Commerce in Lewiston, respectfully invite members of the community to join us as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. Together, we will honor the 2,977 lives lost, recognize the courage and sacrifice of first responders, and reflect on the resilience, compassion and unity that emerged from one of history's most tragic events.
The event begins at 8 a.m. at Queen's Royal Park, Niagara-on-the-Lake. A reception will follow at Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Centre, 14 Anderson Lane, Niagara-on-the-Lake.
RSVP for the commemoration service by emailing terry@niagaraonthelake.com.
RSVP for the reception at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/1997047088601?aff=oddtdtcreator.
This ceremony will honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call on Sept. 11, 2001, while paying tribute to all those who lost their lives. Held overlooking Fort Niagara in the U.S., the ceremony will serve as a powerful reminder of our shared commitment to never forget – and the enduring friendship between our two countries.
We invite first responders, residents, businesses, elected officials, and visitors to join us in this moment of remembrance as we pay tribute to those who lost their lives and honor the heroes whose courage continues to inspire us.
