Better Off Read Summer Book Festival
Artpark & Company welcomed the fifth annual Better Off Read Summer Book Festival to the South Fourth Street state park on Saturday. The free event brought thousands of books – and just as many people – to Lewiston for an activity meant to encourage reading, promote writing, and celebrate storytelling.
Many books were available for $1 or less, and several authors were on hand to discuss their works. The festival had over 100 local vendors, a collection of food trucks, and plenty of fun for children – including face-painting and balloon animals.
