Niagara Hospice Press Release
November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month and a time to raise awareness about the specialized, expert care Niagara Hospice provides in Niagara County. The nonprofit organization has provided hospice care to over 30,000 individuals and their families since 1988. In recognizing the month, the nonprofit organization is happy to announce plans for its longest-running fundraiser, “Cocktails & Cash.”
Sponsored by the Niagara Hospice board of directors, the 31st anniversary of the event will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Shawnee Volunteer Firehall, located at 3747 Lockport Road in Sanborn. All proceeds from “Cocktails & Cash” benefit Niagara Hospice.
“ ‘Cocktails & Cash’ truly showcases the generosity and spirit of our community,” said Allison Bolt, special events coordinator. “It’s a night where people come together to support Niagara Hospice’s compassionate mission while enjoying a fun, casual evening.”
For some added fun, attendees are encouraged to dress for this year’s event theme: “Tailgate.” The evening also includes a silent auction, unique raffles, 50/50 split, wine pull, and music by Miles Patterson.
Tickets are $75 and include open bar, dinner by Chiavetta’s, and a chance to win the grand prize of $7,500 as well as other prizes. Winners need not be present to win. Tickets can be purchased at www.NiagaraHospice.org/cocktailsandcash or by calling the events department at 716-280-0766.
The silent auction will be both virtual and in-person, giving an opportunity for those not at the event to also win some great prizes. The silent auction opens Nov. 8 at www.32auctions.com/cocktailsandcash25.
