The following activity occurred Monday, Sept. 29, to Sunday, Oct. 12, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD responded to more than 300 calls during this period. Monday, Sept. 29
•University Drive, college campus, suspicious activity – Driver on campus harassing students. Campus safety said a male was seen driving yelling obscenities and gesturing; subject left before patrols arrived. Area checked with negative results. Town of Niagara Police assisted in driver search.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Two drivers cited with 12 uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report taken. Two warnings issued.
Tuesday, Sept. 30
•Niagara Scenic Parkway/Pletcher Road, traffic complaint/investigation – Caller reported a black Tesla driving at 100 mph in the fog. Area checked with negative results.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Five drivers cited with seven uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Report taken. Six warnings issued.
Wednesday, Oct. 1
•300 block of S. First Street, harassment – Caller reported an ongoing neighbor issue regarding the property line. Officers responded.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Eight drivers cited with 13 uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Reports taken. Five warnings issued.
Thursday, Oct. 2
•300 block of S. First Street, check welfare – 911 caller reported a female very incoherent and not making sense. Officers responded.
•500 block of Center Street, suspicious activity – Officer initiated. Patrol located a vehicle in a business parking lot with its hazards on after hours; subject looking into windows. Registered owner said she left her keys in a drop box, realized her phone was in the vehicle, and wanted to retrieve it. Driver advised to contact the business in the morning.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Two drivers cited with uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Report taken. Eleven warnings issued.
Friday, Oct. 3
•400 block of Harper Drive, damage to property – Caller reported a vehicle ran over the mailbox and left accident scene heading west. Patrol found the box down and vehicle parts scattered around. No video surveillance available. Accident vehicle listed as a 2019-20 Kia Sorrento. Report taken. •LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Five drivers cited with uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Report taken. Four warnings issued.
Saturday, Oct. 4
•5300 block of Townline Road, noise complaint – 911 caller a neighbor with a megaphone being loud and banging on trash cans; ongoing issue. Patrols reported a Halloween attraction was clearing out for evening; no noise reported. Caller advised to contact town supervisor with issues.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Four drivers cited with uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Report taken. Five warnings issued.
Sunday, Oct. 5
•Mohawk/N. Second streets, check welfare – Caller reported a shirtless male screaming at random objects. Officers responded; call handled.
•LPD patrol activity – no vehicle/traffic responses listed.
Monday, Oct. 6
•5800 block of Garlow Road, suspicious activity – Caller reported a suspicious male in area going door to door. Sales rep asking odd questions, making a female homeowner uncomfortable. Patrol said males were soliciting for a solar company without permits. Subjects advised to leave area.

Tuesday, Oct. 7
•500 block of Pletcher Road, overdose – 911 call; officers responded.

Wednesday, Oct. 8
•Lower River/Joseph Davis Park roads, suspicious activity – Caller reported a male on foot, looking at houses “in a weird way.” Officers located male; subject “just out walking, sick of Niagara Falls and contemplating leaving New York state.”
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. One driver cited with uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Three warnings issued.
Thursday, Oct. 9
•Lower River Road/Tryon Drive, suspicious activity – 911 caller reported a male again looking at houses in the area. Subject just out walking; all secure, per patrol.
•600 block of Northridge Drive, noise complaint – 911 caller reported a stranger in the apartment above, banging on walls. Patrol responded.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Six drivers cited with uniform traffic tickets issued for town court. Two warnings issued.
Friday, Oct. 10
•Mount Hope/Walmore roads, damage to property – School security reported an obscene picture on a corner stop sign. Damage removed by school maintenance. Complaint documented; patrol to review camera footage.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Zero drivers cited and nine warnings issued.
Saturday, Oct. 11
•400 block of S. Fourth Street, suspicious activity – Patrol stopped for suspicious vehicle after hours. Subjects sleeping inside. Parties awaken by patrol and sent on their way.
•100 block of S. Fourth Street, trespass – Caller reported a homeless male in the yard; wants removal. Courtesy ride by patrol to Niagara Falls, per his request.
Sunday, Oct. 11
•5900 block of Garlow Road, traffic complaint/investigation – 911 caller reported an underage juvenile operating a riding lawnmower and trailer. Subject told patrol he lives down the street and cuts grass in neighborhood. All secure.
•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. One driver cited with uniform traffic ticket issued for town court. Two warnings issued.
