The New York Power Authority, in collaboration with the Town of Niagara and its Environmental Justice Community Voices Collaborative (EJCVC), hosted a community tree-planting on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 2590 Military Road, Niagara Falls (greenway strip adjacent to the parking lot on Packard Road). The event featured the planting of 15 native trees, including five bare root sugar maples, five bare root Allegheny serviceberries, and two bare root white oaks. Local volunteers joined forces with a professional landscaping vendor to bring this community greening effort to life.

This initiative supports NYPA’s ongoing commitment to biodiversity, community engagement, and environmental stewardship of the area. NYPA volunteers joined the effort alongside the Town of Niagara, reinforcing the Power Authority’s dedication to inclusive and sustainable practices.
