Town of Porter-area residents celebrated Veterans Day by giving this past weekend, as visitors flocked to O Leo Curtis American Legion Post 830 in Ransomville to enjoy a chicken barbecue.
Organized by First District Niagara County Legislator Irene Myers, the well-attended event included Chiavetta’s chicken dinners with all the fixings, tasty homemade desserts, a basket raffle and 50/50. All proceeds from the event went to benefit the members of Post 830 and Youngstown VFW Lake Ontario Post 313. (Photo by Terry Duffy)
