Destination Niagara USA hosts 26th annual outdoor media event showcasing world-class fishing experiences

Destination Niagara USA will welcome 13 leading outdoor journalists and content creators to Niagara Falls USA for its 26th annual fishing media event, taking place May 3-9.

The long-running event highlights the region’s internationally recognized freshwater fishing opportunities while generating national exposure through some of the most influential media outlets in the angling industry.

Participating media represent publications, websites, podcasts and digital platforms that collectively reach millions of anglers across the country. Their coverage helps keep Niagara Falls USA top of mind as travelers plan fishing-focused vacations and outdoor getaways.

Hosted in Lewiston, the event provides visiting media with ideal access to the legendary Niagara River and surrounding waterways, known for exceptional salmon, trout, bass, musky and walleye fishing. A recent economic impact study focused on fishing in Niagara County found that fishing generated $58.55 million in visitor spending in 2022, accounting for 6% of total visitor spending in the county. The findings underscore the importance of fishing tourism to the local economy and the value of continued promotion to traveling anglers.
