My name is Rob Reisman. I have served our community for the past six years as a trustee and village mayor. I desire to continue serving our community, drive continued change to improve infrastructure, and support initiatives that sustain Youngstown as a village into the future.
I am honest, energetic and community-focused with a hands-on approach.
Under my leadership, we accomplished the following in four short years:
•No village tax increases – delivered responsible budgeting without raising taxes, while doing much-needed improvements throughout the village.
•Preserved the blue water tower – protected a community landmark by purchasing the building and easement accessing the tower. This accomplishment will allow cash flow generated by 10-15-year contracts negotiated with cell providers. This will be tens of thousands of dollars.
•Improved infrastructure – Under my leadership, we utilized a multimillion-dollar grant that the village received to repave Water Street and upgrade the public steps on our north and south dock for safety and accessibility.
•Strengthened public safety – restructured operations to preserve and maintain our police department.
•Revitalized vacant property – facilitated the sale of the condemned cold storage building for a new condominium development with a local, honest developer.
•Safer streets and sidewalks for residence – With the assistance of our DPW, we implemented “Operation Sidewalk” to improve pedestrian safety and neighborhood quality of life. We have continuously replaced much-needed sidewalks consistently each year.
