Monday, July 20

•800 block of Thornwood Drive, theft – Caller reported items taken from a vehicle overnight. Said vehicle was accidentally left unlocked. A hoodie and tools were taken. LPD said a camera was activated at 1:59 a.m. Negative results on activity. Report taken.

•900 block of Center Street, custody problem – Caller reported children refusing to go with mom, requests information documented. Report taken by patrol.

•5300 block of Elm Drive, check welfare – 911 caller reported neighbor with Alzheimer’s disease walking and wandering in area. Caller following in vehicle. Officers responded.

•5700 block of West Street, suspicious activity – 911 caller reported hearing sounds of a playground being vandalized. No subjects or activity seen. Banging noise reported. Officers responded.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Four drivers cited with five UTTs issued for town court, reports taken. Six warnings issued.

Tuesday, July 21

•4000 block of Creek Road, LPD station, assist public – Patrol reported a walk-in complaint and suspicious package received. Female reported an unknown male sent a package containing a thong via U.S. mail. Female concerned that personal information was compromised. Patrol responded.

•700 block of Center Street, motor vehicle theft – Caller reported an unregistered landscaping trailer was taken earlier; timeframe unknown. Patrol said caller was not the registered owner of vehicle. LPD to follow up; investigation pending.

•Niagara Scenic Parkway, north/Ridge Road, MVA-injuries – 911 caller reported a two-vehicle accident. Officers responded and statements taken. No injuries. Report filed.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Three drivers cited with seven UTTs issued for town court. No warnings issued.

Wednesday, July 22

•400 block of Water Street, marine search/rescue. 911 caller reported a vessel breaking free. Patrol helped owner on temporarily securing boat. U.S. Coast Guard contacted to assist.

•4900 block of W. Eddy Drive, forgery – 911 caller reported disturbing phone call. Unknown subject claiming to be a police officer advised caller of an accident involving a family member. Information not accurate. Patrol advised caller on phone-spoofing activity. Caller advised to recontact LPD if fraudulent activity is observed.

•1800 block of Upper Mountain Road, fire – 911 call reported a possible fire; flames and smoke observed. Police and fire responded. Report taken.

•Lewiston Road/Mountain View Drive, suspicious activity – Officer initiated. Male observed crossing on wrong side of roadway. Subject in front of LPD with no lights and limited visibility. Male warned by patrol.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Three drivers cited with UTTs issued for town court. Report taken. Four warnings issued.

Thursday, July 23

•5900 block of Kline Road, ordinance violation – Caller reported a landscaper mowing in early morning hours. Caller noted 8 a.m. noise ordinance time frame by building inspector. Patrol advised caller of 7 a.m. town ordinance.

•Autumn Lane/Thornwood Drive, assist public – Officer initiated. Caller reported an aggressive male soliciting door-to-door for a pest control company. Officers advised male to leave the area until proper permits are acquired.

•Shawnee/Mapleton roads, traffic complaint – Caller reported a Dodge Caravan all over the roadway. Patrol responded.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Two drivers cited with UTTs issued for town court. Seven warnings issued.

Friday, July 24

•400 block of S. Fourth Street, shots fired – Caller reported hearing gunshot earlier. Patrol and State Parks Police responded.

•1600 block of Upper Mountain Road, disturbance not domestic – 911 caller reported females causing a scene. Officers spoke with both parties; subjects advised complaint was a civil matter and how to proceed.

•800 block of Hillside Drive, theft – Caller reported packages taken from porch; ex-boyfriend seen on camera. Patrol reported camera was unavailable and no information on suspect. Report taken.

•4000 block of Creek Road, LPD office, theft – Officer initiated. Male reported an online food delivery account was hacked, and small purchase made by suspect. Patrol advised complainant on verification procedures. Company contacted and reversed transaction.

•700 block of Powell Lane, disturbance not domestic – Anonymous 911 caller reported a male-female domestic. Officers reported neighbor dispute about bushes not being properly trimmed. Parties advised to be civil and adjust their emotions when interacting.

•800 block of Oriole Lane, disturbance not domestic – 911 caller reported a road rage incident. Neighbor upset over parking and threw a cup of ice at caller’s vehicle. No charges; neighbor advised the action qualifies as criminal mischief if it recurs. Report taken.

Saturday, July 25

•800 block of Oriole Lane, damage to property – Caller suspects an unknown party attempted to pry doors open. Camera photo provided. Patrol found no signs of entry or items taken; no criminal activity.

•4900 block of Creek Road, domestic disturbance – 911 caller reported a male and female fighting. Patrol said subjects were arguing over a video rental and it escalated. Female hit the male with a broom. No charges at this time. Male able to retrieve belongings. Report filed.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. Ten drivers cited with 11 UTTs issued for town court. Report taken. Seven warnings issued.

Sunday, July 26

•Chew/Printup roads, check welfare – Caller reported an intoxicated bicyclist traveling northbound. Party refused ride. Officers responded.

•800 block of Upper Mountain Road, domestic disturbance – 911 caller reports screaming in area. Officers located a female screaming profusely up and down driveway. Subject and friend in an argument over a lost cell phone. Both subjects highly intoxicated and provided courtesy rides to their homes.

•LPD patrol activity – Calls officer initiated. Vehicle/traffic stops for motor vehicle violations. One driver cited. UTT issued for town court. Report taken. One warning issued.
