Niagara University powered up a 17-acre state-of-the-art solar array at its Lewiston campus on Wednesday. The $6.2 million, four-megawatt project, completed in partnership with Montante Solar and Pivot Energy, features 7,500 bifacial solar panels, mounted on a smart "tracker" racking that follows the sun throughout the day to maximize energy production.

Niagara County Public Works Commissioner Garret Meal today announced the Niagara County Golf Course on Davison Road in Lockport will be closed Monday Oct. 28, through Wednesday Oct. 30, so that the parking lot can be paved. Groff's Café on the Green will also be closed during this time. The golf course and restaurant will reopen Thursday, Oct. 31.
