Two Canadian citizens were arrested Saturday after U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Buffalo port of entry's Lewiston-Queenston Bridge border crossing seized multiple bags of marijuana hidden throughout their vehicle.

HOPE Day, the annual 24-hour match challenge day of giving, raised a total of $528,105 in support of Appeal 2026 on March 18 to benefit Catholic Charities of Buffalo and the "Fund for the Faith," pushing the annual campaign past the halfway mark toward its overall $8 million goal.
