As is tradition, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Veterans Day was observed with a ceremony at Lewiston's Academy Park. The event, set at the "Circle of Honor," was coordinated by Veterans of Foreign Wars Downriver Post 7487. Vietnam veteran and Lewiston historian Timothy Henderson served as the keynote speaker.

Niagara University celebrated its students - and honored distinguished individuals who embody Niagara's mission within their communities - during the 2025 President's Dinner on Nov. 5 at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. Proceeds from the President's Dinner benefit Niagara University's scholarship programs. This year's event raised $240,000 toward student scholarship assistance.
