The Youngstown Business and Professional Association got down to business Feb. 10 at its winter membership meeting at Ray's Tavern in Porter. Attendees learned more about local happenings planned for 2026 - including the annual O'Riordan St. Patrick's Day Parade leading off at noon Saturday, March 14 on Main Street; and YBPA's 15th "Beginning of Summer Street Dance and Car Cruise" set for 6 p.m. Thursday, June 25.

Niagara Frontier Golf Club has named Niagara Falls native Kurt Vogel to the position of PGA head golf professional, announced Thomas J. Baia, president of the board of directors. Vogel will begin his duties in March at the 96-year-old club located on Lake Road in Niagara County.

Dr. Scott F. McKay, of the Village of Lewiston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born in Niagara Falls on May 22, 1946, the son of the late Gordon and Evelyn (Howard) McKay.
