Artpark & Company teamed with musicians from the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on Wednesday for an intimate candlelight concert inside the Mainstage Theater. In fact, guests were fully immersed in the glow of candles when they sat with the musicians onstage as part of the up-close-and-personal concert.
Performers Xiaofan Liu (violin), Roman Mekinulov (cello) and Anya Shemetyeva (viola) brought a curated repertoire including pieces by Schubert, Mozart, Beethoven and Dohnanyi.
Patrons also were treated to a preshow wine and cheese reception, as well as a post-show coffee and desserts gathering with the musicians at the Lewiston venue.
The funds raised for this special event will support both Artpark and the BPO’s education programs.
