The band Hello Molly opened Grand Island’s Tuesday Summer Concerts series this week. The Buffalo-based band was the first of eight groups to be featured, starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Aug. 12 at the gazebo at Marion Klingel Town Common, 2255 Baseline Road.
Hello Molly features Molly Saper on vocals; Larry Osolowski on drums and vocals; Dan Robillard of Grand Island on guitar/synthesizer; Jon Sundquist on bass; and Bob Ruzanowski on guitar. The band favors the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s with covers of songs.
Here’s the schedule of upcoming concerts:
•July 1: The Formula – Performs Italian classic hits as well as a young modern dance sound with a twist of Latino.
•July 8: The Revivals – Performing contemporary, classic rock, yacht rock ’50s, ’60s, ‘70s.
•July 15: Powerhouse – A rock and blues band.
•July 22: Dee’s Grand Isle Opry – Honors the classics, as well as the modern favorites of country music with songs from Dolly and Willie up to Garth and Carrie.
•July 29: Judd Sunshine and The Boomers – Rock and pop ballads to boogie.
•Aug. 5: Double Down Blues Band – Plays the best of B.B. King, Albert Collins, Jack DeKeyser and Tommy Castro.
•Aug. 12 – My Cousin Tone – This jazz band is noted for its well-rehearsed and unique arrangements. My Cousin Tone won the 2021 Jazz Buffalo Poll for Favorite Large Ensemble Jazz group in the region.
