The Lewiston Council on the Arts invites you on the Marble Orchard Ghost Walk – an eerie and unforgettable journey through the shadows of Lewiston’s haunted history.

The quest to craft a truly unique experience began with in-depth research by Lewiston genealogist Michelle Kratts, who unearthed gripping stories of family feuds, mysterious drownings, tragic fires, and more – true events rooted in Lewiston’s rich and often chilling history. These stories were transformed into vivid theatrical vignettes, brought to life by a talented ensemble of actors. Composer Michael Dean contributes original songs that help narrate Lewiston’s tales of yesteryear.

“I wanted to make our performance as theatrical and immersive as possible,” said Maria Fortuna Dean, executive director of the Lewiston Council on the Arts. “Each year, we enhance the walk with more – lighting, sound effects, and original music.”

This year’s walk features an all-new final scene in the graveyard: “The Bride of Sorrow,” a haunting retelling of Lewiston native Nina Starkweather’s tale of true love, tragically denied.

Join us at the gazebo at Fourth and Center streets as we travel together through the haunted streets of Lewiston. Ghosts, legends, and lore await.

It’s not just history. It’s a walk with the spirits.

All shows start at 7 p.m. on Oct. 24, 26, 28-30. Tickets are on sale now! For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.artcouncil.org.
