Joe and Caitlin Paolucci’s backyard, at 179 Windham Court, Grand Island, has a unique new look to it these days.
“My husband and I create a football field in our backyard every football season for our kids and neighborhood kids to play on,” Caitlin said. “Our son, Rocco, picks the center field logo each year and we make it happen with a long hose, a line-striper machine, a picture printout, tennis balls to outline the logo … and a prayer that it comes out well!
“Rocco is on the Jr. Vikings football team, so he picked the Grand Island Vikings logo this year.
“In the past, we have made various Buffalo Bills logos, the NFL shield logo, and West Virginia University logo. This is our fifth year, and it may be our best yet!
“Go Vikings!”
The field is not open to the public.
