Niagara County Department of Public Works (DPW) Commissioner Garret Meal announced the Wilson Burt Road Bridge over 18 Mile Creek in the Town of Newfane is expected to reopen this coming Monday, July 14, about three weeks ahead of schedule. The bridge has been closed since late-February.

The Buffalo Naval Park will host a group of World War II reenactors from across the U.S. this weekend for a special event to bring USS The Sullivans and USS Little Rock to life. "Mess Call at the Buffalo Naval Park" will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at One Naval Park Cove, and is included in the price of admission.

Hochul announces record-level investment in victim assistance programs across state

Kathy Hochul announced a record investment of nearly $379.5 million in federal and state funding over three years to support programs and services for victims and survivors of crime and their families. This is the largest funding allocation ever administered by the state Office of Victim Services and is supported by $100 million in state funding secured by Hochul to offset reductions in federal aid.
