Gov. Kathy Hochul on Wednesday announced the completion of the Historic Post Office in Lockport at One East Ave., after a comprehensive historic rehabilitation and renovation as part of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative. The $9.7 million project included a rehabilitation of the interior and exterior historic fabric of the building together with renovations to improve the facility for modern use.

In celebration of the 2025 bicentennial of the opening of the Erie Canal, the Niagara History Center has mounted "Images of the Erie Canal," a free public exhibition of artworks featuring the Erie Canal and Lockport locks.
