Niagara Falls High School Class of 1964 is having an 80th birthday party and reunion! It will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at the LaSalle Yacht Club on Buffalo Avenue, with dinner, mingling and music. On Friday, there will be a tour of the old NFHS building on Portage Road and Pine Avenue from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Start of construction on $225 million North Aud Block in Buffalo's Canalside

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the start of construction at North Aud Block, a $225 million mixed-use development in Buffalo's Canalside. This transformative project will convert a vacant parcel into 251 affordable and market-rate apartments, and will include 18,000 square-feet of commercial space; 20,000 square-feet of open, community space; and 137 parking spaces.
Hochul: $250 million redevelopment underway at Buffalo's Marine Drive public housing complex

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced construction is underway at the redevelopment of Marine Drive Apartments, a 70-year-old public housing complex in Buffalo. The $250 million first phase of the three-phase transformation will include the new construction of 254 apartments across four buildings. When complete, the entire $600 million Marine Drive redevelopment will replace the original 616 units with approximately 730 new apartments.
