Women United extends baby supply drive

Women United of Greater Niagara's annual baby supply drive, "Bundles," has been extended. This year's drive will benefit Pinnacle Community Services and the YWCA of Niagara Frontier, two organizations dedicated to supporting women, children and families in the community.

High-speed vehicle chase in Niagara Falls

On April 17, officers were involved in a high-speed vehicle pursuit. At the conclusion of the pursuit, as officers approached the vehicle, the vehicle began to drive toward the officers. One officer discharged their firearm, striking the driver of the vehicle. The driver was transported to Erie County Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

To address this pressing health concern, the association launched the equity-focused hypertension initiative in Buffalo to improve heart health outcomes. Ryan announces $1 million in state funding for Buffalo Irish Center

On Saturday, New York State Sen. Sean Ryan announced he secured a $1 million capital grant to fund a renovation project at the Buffalo Irish Center. Ryan announced the funding at a special celebration that featured music from Buffalo's Emerald Isle Band, a performance by students from the Rince na Tiarna Irish Dance School, and a poetry reading by Keelie Sheridan of the Irish Classical Theatre Co.
Niagara County DMV offices to have Saturday hours for REAL ID

Niagara County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski today said the Niagara County Department of Motor Vehicles offices in Lockport, Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda will have Saturday hours on April 12 and 26 for the limited purpose of processing driver's license transactions related to the implementation of REAL ID. The offices will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on those dates, but you must be in line by 12:30 p.m. to have your transaction processed.
