Niagara County is partnering with Niagara University and paint-recycling company GreenSheen to host a paint recycling event this Saturday, May 3, on the NU campus. Niagara County residents and businesses are welcome to bring up to 50 gallons of latex or oil-based paint in its original container to the event for collections at no cost.

Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper once again led the "Spring Sweep," the largest single-day cleanup across Western New York, on Saturday, April 26. AAA Western and Central New York is reminding travelers that new identification requirements are going into effect next month for travel within the U.S. Beginning May 7, U.S. travelers must have a REAL ID (or other acceptable form of ID like a passport) to board domestic flights. The REAL ID is a federal requirement for state-issued driver licenses and non-driver identifications designed to help prevent fraudulent identification.
