Roswell Park: Fifth annual IceCycle to end cancer raises $735,000

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center's fifth annual IceCycle fundraising event, presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and the West Herr Automotive Group, has come to a close. The event, which took place at Buffalo RiverWorks, raised $735,000 for cancer research and patient-care programs.

Jury finds Buffalo man guilty of all counts for fatal shooting in city's Allentown neighborhood

Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced a jury found Nigel L. Flint, 29, of Amherst, guilty of one count of murder in the second degree (class "A-I" felony) and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (class "C" violent felony). Jurors rendered their decision yesterday afternoon after approximately six hours of deliberation following a five-day trial, convicting the defendant of all counts in the indictment.

United Way: Applications now available for EFSP phase 42
